Tesla Universal Wall Connector

The Tesla Universal Wall Connector stands out from other EV charging products due
to its unique feature – the integrated Magic Dock. This feature enables it to charge any electric vehicle available in North America without requiring any third-party adapters.

No other electric vehicle charging equipment currently offers this level of compatibility. As the industry starts shifting towards adopting Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS), the Universal Wall Connector’s versatility is expected to make it a highly sought-after choice among users.

Key Features of the Tesla Universal Wall Connector:

  • Price: $595.00
  • Dimensions: 13.75” x 6.0” x 5.75”
  • Charging capacity: 48 amps (11.5 kW)
  • Adjustable output ranging from 12 to 48 amps
  • 24-foot cable
  • NACS/J1772 Connector
  • Ability to power share with up to 6 other Wall Connectors
  • NEMA-3 Enclosure
  • Operating temperature range: 122˚F to -22˚F (50° C to -30˚C)
  • WiFi connectivity for smart charging
  • ETL Certified
  • Comes with a 4-year warranty
  • Manufactured in Taiwan

I subjected the Universal Wall Connector to rigorous testing, including a new extreme heat test, and it successfully passed every test I conducted. It appears to be a well-engineered and durable product that should have a long lifespan. Tesla’s confidence is evident in its four-year warranty, which is longer than what most EV chargers offer.

The Tesla Universal Wall Connector received the highest ChargerRater score I’ve ever given, totaling 97 points. This exceptional score is attributed to its high power output, quality construction, reliable performance in both cold and hot weather conditions, all offered at a reasonable price of $595.00.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t review the new app designed to control the Universal Wall Connector, as it’s not yet available. However, Tesla plans to release the app before the unit ships to customers, and I will review it as soon as it becomes accessible.

Tesla is currently accepting preorders for the Universal Wall Connector on its website, with deliveries scheduled to begin in October.
